(come in go away mat, buy here)
It doesn't matter whether or not you wear shoes in the house, they're still coming in along with all the lovely things that have been picked up from the street. And you don't want that in your home and/or closet... Your choice; spend $3 at your local hardware store, $100 for a custom one, or any amount in between.
It's a no brainer, seriously - if you don't have one, get one now!!
I have this one and love it. Makes me smile every day!

Am in a rental with beige carpeting I must keep clean...this welcome mat helps as well as my guests leaving their shoes at the entryway - which is at the bottom of the stairs.
That is a riot. I grew up leaving my shoes at the door. I had no idea it could be such a heated topic until I started reading shelter blogs on the internet.
ReplyDeleteWe've got lots of dogs on our street and some people aren't good about scooping. Definitely don't want that in the house.
please, living in nyc and actually seeing not only the dogs, but what people put on the street (no more details needed) i do not want that in my house!!
ReplyDeleteI live in NYC and was shocked when I saw that people didn't have a mat!! The thought of the filth outside being tracked through our little home is just too gross to imagine!
